We are excited to have you join us for Coastal Cleanup Day. Please fill out the form and we will email you instructions along with your Site Captain's contact information. See you September 17.
Site Information: The Stewards meet to restore native plant habitat at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. Our goal is to restore the degraded former farm land to a sustainable native habitat of California grasslands and Coastal Sage Scrub. Native habitats feed, shelter, and protect the native wildlife which is found on the Mesa, such as: song birds , hawks, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, ducks, egrets, herons, rabbits, coyotes, mice, snakes, lizards, butterflies, insects, etc.
We start at 9am and go to about noon. We supply the tools/equipment, water and some snacks for the volunteers. We ask that volunteers wear long pants and closed-toed shoes that can get dirty along with sunscreen since we will be in the sun the whole morning. We also ask that everyone under 14 be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please try to carpool if possible because our parking lot is very small. If you have any questions feel free to email me at Erin@bclandtrust.org
