We at Coastkeeper are marking our 15-year anniversary by holding a photo contest. The contest is based on our mission which is: “The mission of Coastkeeper is to promote and restore water resources that are drinkable, fishable, swimmable and sustainable.”

Entrants should submit images that reflect Southern California water resources in any or all of the four categories in the mission: drinkable, fishable, swimmable and sustainable. The photo below is a great example of what we are looking for.

Winners will be chosen in each the four categories and an overall winner will also be chosen among the photos that beautifully demonstrate all of the four categories.

The winning photos will be published in Coastkeeper Magazine, which will be released in early February 2015.

Entries are due by December 10. Please send your entries (limit 2 per entrant) to coastkeeper@coastkeeper.org and put “Photo Contest” in the subject line.

Photos should be in jpg format and should be sized so that they are 1,200 pixels on the longest side.
