Would you like to give high school students an amazing outdoor
experience, while participating in activities like marine life surveys
and beach cleanups? Do you love being in natural settings
and interacting with wildlife?
If so, being a WHALES volunteer would be perfect for you!
We need people for many different aspects
of the field trips:
- If you like to teach and work directly with kids, you can help
facilitate the trips, and even lead a small group of students.
- If you like to be where the action's at, but not in the middle
of it, you could help us document our outings by taking pictures.
- If you like to be behind the scenes, there is plenty to do at
the Coastkeeper office: load pictures onto our online photo gallery,
help set up and put away equipment, updating the website, researching
and writing grants, and much more!
Upcoming field trips:
- March 9: Orange High School- AP Environmental Science
March 10: Garden Grove High School- AVID
March 11: Costa Mesa High School- AP Environmental Science
March 23, 24: Estancia High School- Marine Science
- March 25: Costa Mesa High School- Marine Science
