A Tale of Four Cities:   The Wintersburg Channel Study
Rigs to Reefs Recap

wintersurgWe know that Huntington Harbor has water pollution problems, but where exactly is the runoff coming from?  That is the question Coastkeeper seeks to answer with the Wintersburg Channel Study.  The Wintersburg Channel flows through Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Westminster and Huntington Beach before draining to Huntington Harbor.  By sampling water quality at sites on the upper and lower boundaries of each city, Coastkeeper will attempt to determine the amount of polluted runoff contributed by each city.  We are excited to begin another Citizen Water Monitoring Project, and to work with cities to address water pollution issues affecting the Wintersburg Channel and Huntington Harbor.
