Coastkeeper is working to restore eelgrass in Upper Newport Bay!
Eelgrass beds are important habitat for crabs, scallops, numerous species of fish, and other marine species.
If you are interested in volunteering a few hours this summer to help us
with this restoration project, sign up for any of the shifts listed below!
Dates: June 15, 16, 17, 18, 29, 30, and
July 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 20, 21, 22, 23
Shifts: 9:00 am - 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 pm on each day
Volunteers can sign up for one or both shifts.
We need both AAUS certified divers and volunteers to help on land.
No experience necessary, training will be provided.
