September 19: Surfboards
in the Sand - Check out the photo, which took place
at Huntington Beach Pier, and will be published in Transworld Surf
Magazine. Proceeds from the event benefit Coastkeeper.
June 4: Ocean
Day 2009! This year we brought 700 elementary students
to the beach for a cleanup and aerial art project.
May 2: Snapshot
Day 2009 For this statewide event, Coastkeeper recruited
volunteers to help us get a "Snapshot" water quality at
over 20 local sites. Check

Ocean Day Adopt-A-Beach Cleanup
Coastkeeper coordinated
500 elementary students at Bolsa Chica State Beach to do a beach
cleanup and aerial art. Students from Santa Ana, Anaheim,
and Newport Beach came out with their hats, sunscreen, and smiles
to join in the effort to make the beach cleaner. Check out
