Monthly Beach Cleanups
Second Saturday of every month at Huntington State Beach!
Invite your friends and family out to this monthly event to keep our beaches clean and to learn more about coastal conservation, our watershed and marine debris. The cleanups are held the second Saturday of every month at Huntington State Beach. Find more information and volunteer registration HERE.
Hands On Work at the Garden
Work out your green thumb at our Garden! There is always something to do, regardless of the season, so we need as much help as we can get! Individuals and groups are welcome! Weekday and weekend opportunities are available.
Become a Garden Guide
We need volunteer Garden Guides to greet guests, answer questions, and perform general maintenance. Volunteer hours are flexible and a two hour shift may be scheduled any day that the Garden is open.

Coastkeeper is working to restore eelgrass in Upper Newport Bay. Eelgrass beds are important habitat for lobsters, halibut, oysters and other marine species. If you are interested in volunteering a few hours this summer to help us with this restoration project, please sign up online at http://www.coastkeeper.org/eelgrass_restoration. Monitor Marine Protected Areas
Thriving Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) provide a great environment for swimming, kayaking, diving, snorkeling and tidepooling. Throughout California, residents are joining local efforts to monitor them. They are making a difference in ocean protection- and you can too!
