Armita graduated cum laude with a degree in Philosophy from California State University, Northridge before securing her law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. While at Loyola, Armita was the Vice President of the school’s Student Bar Association and co-founded the Stereotype Awareness Coalition, an organization centered on raising awareness of peoples’ implicit biases and the effect such biases have on our interactions with one another. Armita also served as the President of the Iranian Law Students Association and was a member of Loyola’s Environmental Law Society.
Prior to joining Coastkeeper, Armita spent three years practicing entertainment law honing her transactional and negotiation skills at United Talent Agency and Pilgrim Media Group, which she uses to help support the legal department at Coastkeeper.
Armita is active in her local community and serves as a member of the Sierra Club in Los Angeles County where she advocates for the just transition from fossil fuels to clean and sustainable energy practices.
