Cristina earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Marine biology from CSU Long Beach. As Coastkeeper’s Education Coordinator, she serves as a school liaison, arranging field trips and in-class presentations for WHALES and Kids Ocean Day.
During her undergrad, Cristina gained research experience by working in the Reproductive Biology and Shark Laboratories, as well as participating in the Japan-US E.S. Morse Scholar Exchange Program her senior year. Her passion for science education and marine conservation was first ignited while being an environmental educator at the Wetlands and Marine Science Education Center at the Colorado Lagoon of Long Beach, CA.
Cristina loves surfing, hiking, traveling, hot yoga, burritos, tidepooling and dogs.
