The Realities of Plastics: The Facts, The Crisis, The Solutions

December 2, 2020 @ 5:00 pm

Free

Did you know? Each year, California generates more plastic microfibers than there are stars in the Milky Way!*

Even more concerning is the fact that each person is consuming nearly a half a pound of microplastics every year.*

What can we do it about? What are the solutions?

Join OC Coastkeeper Education Coordinator Cristina Robinson and The Climate Reality Project for a fascinating presentation on the Realities of Plastics, as they dive deep into plastic pollution, the facts, the growing crisis & the innovations and solutions.

In this special Trash Talk presentation, they will also look at plastics from the stand point of watersheds, trash transportation, impact on our oceans, recycling, “green washing”, microplastics, plastic contaminant toxicology, plastic alternatives and zero waste options, as well as highlighting some of the amazing innovations coming out to mitigate plastics and marine debris. Let’s talk trash!
