How to Apply
Please send your resume, cover letter, and a one-page response to the additional exercise below to matt[AT]coastkeeper.org with “Marketing and Development Coordinator” in the subject line. The job posting will remain open until filled. The goal of the additional exercise is for our hiring team to review the candidate’s problem-solving abilities and creativity.
Exercise Prompt
Orange County Coastkeeper’s monthly beach cleanups regularly draw over 200 dedicated participants—families, community groups, and returning individuals who care deeply about protecting the coast. While these events generate strong turnout and enthusiasm, Coastkeeper has faced challenges in deepening engagement with these volunteers beyond the cleanup itself.
One of the initial challenges presented to the Marketing and Development Coordinator will be to help us better understand, track, and nurture these relationships, turning one-time or repeat volunteers into long-term supporters, donors, or partners.
In under one page, please outline your approach to this challenge given the information provided. You may consider strategies related to marketing, donor cultivation, data collection, community engagement, or anything else you find relevant.
