Marine Restoration Coordinator

Kaden is our Marine Restoration Coordinator and helps manage our Shell Recycling and Living Shoreline Restoration efforts. He combines his engineering and education experience to enhance coastal resiliency while boosting public awareness.

Prior to his work with Coastkeeper, Kaden obtained his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Afterwards, he worked in various marine restoration and coastal resiliency roles with the U.S. Navy and with non-profits in Southeast Asia. Kaden specializes in blue carbon accounting, nature-based solutions, and coastal habitat restoration with mangrove forests, eelgrass beds, tidal marsh, and oyster reefs. In addition, he has experience supporting women empowerment programs, developing biodiversity enhancement plans, conducting educational outreach, and environmental awareness communications.

For fun, Kaden likes to sail, scuba dive, travel, sustainably fish, backpack, and camp.
