Private Beach Cleanup
Participate in engaging, hands-on, private beach cleanups. Involvement in our beach cleanup program is a great way to show that your company is a positive contributor to the community and the local environment.
Private cleanups are offered year-round, seven days a week. With your donation, our team will help coordinate a date, time, and location for you and your group. We assist in obtaining any required permits, providing cleaning supplies, and securing accessible parking.
Locations

Shell String Building
Help improve local habitat and native oyster populations by building oyster shell strings for our marine restoration program! Participants will be asked to drill dried-out shells and assemble them on metal strings. Have your employees participate in this incredibly unique team-building opportunity at a location of your choosing, including at the beach, the Newport Back Bay, or your office.
Shell strings are habitats that we use to grow Olympia oysters, California’s only native oyster species. Olympia oysters are an essential component of our coastal ecosystem due to their ability to filter water, stabilize shorelines, and provide habitat and food for many other species.
Contact our restoration director, Kaysha Kenney (kaysha@coastkeeper.org), to plan your team-building event today!
