Taylor is the Education Coordinator at Orange County Coastkeeper, where she teaches education programs and coordinates with schools and community partners to connect students with their local environment. She is passionate about inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards through hands-on, experiential learning.
With a background in environmental nonprofit education and classroom teaching, Taylor is dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences that foster a lasting connection between students and the natural world. She believes experiential learning is key in sparking curiosity and excitement about conservation and empowering students to use their unique skills and passions to protect our waters. Taylor’s favorite part of her role is helping students understand that healthy oceans are essential to life on Earth — and that everyone, no matter where they live, has a direct impact on their local watershed and the power to make a difference!
Taylor has loved the ocean her entire life and knew from a young age that ocean conservation would be her path. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from California State University, Long Beach, with a research focus on sea lion thermoregulatory behavior. Taylor also works as a deckhand and naturalist on a whale watching boat. She loves anything to do with the outdoors, and in her free time, you can find her diving, surfing, hiking, or playing beach volleyball.
