Dear Coastkeeper community,
I’m thrilled to share that we are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year! Since our humble beginnings in 1999, we’ve remained dedicated to safeguarding our community’s waters and coastline through innovative programming.
I founded Orange County Coastkeeper because I wanted my sons to enjoy swimmable, drinkable, fishable waters – just like I did growing up here. We started in a small office in Newport Beach with just two employees.
Now, 25 years later, our team has flourished beyond my wildest dreams. We’ve assembled an incredible group of educators, attorneys, advocates, researchers, and scientists, all collaborating to protect our precious waters.
In this milestone year, we reflect on the positive impact our community has helped us achieve. Whether it’s restoring marine ecosystems, battling pollution, educating students, advocating for water policy, or ensuring public access to our beloved beaches – your support has been the driving force behind our success.
Thank YOU for all you’ve done to help Coastkeeper in the past 25 years. I’m eager to continue celebrating with you throughout the rest of 2024, and I promise there are many more exciting announcements to come regarding our 25th anniversary!
