Kids Care is a hands-on, solutions-based marine debris education program that teaches students about the dangers of trash in coastal habitats, how it gets there, and most importantly, what they can do in their daily lives to help solve the problem. Designed for elementary students in grades 3 through 5, students are engaged through an interactive assembly and coastal habitat explorations and cleanups.
The program is one of the first service-learning opportunities of its kind in Orange County for elementary school students. The program is provided free of charge for Title I schools, including bus transportation and park entrance fees.
