Coastal Cleanup Day

2024 Results

Across inland and coastal Orange County, 4,760 volunteers participated in 38 different cleanup events for OC Coastal Cleanup Day 2024! In just a few hours, these volunteers removed 31,589 pounds of trash from our parks, beaches, and waterways.

As the regional coordinator for California Coastal Cleanup Day, we helped distribute supplies, register volunteers, and promote each cleanup site. In addition to assisting cleanup sites, we hosted our own cleanup event at Huntington State Beach, where 275 volunteers removed 231 pounds of trash!

California Coastal Cleanup Day brings awareness to the state’s marine debris problem and provides a community event for direct involvement. Join the movement for an environment where people and ecosystems can survive and thrive!

This statewide event is organized every September by the California Coastal Commission. We are proud to be the regional coordinator for Orange County! We help manage and assist over 40 inland and coastal cleanups every year.
