Save the Date: September 23, 2023

2022 Results

On Saturday, September 17, more than 5,000 volunteers cleaned up Orange County parks, beaches, and creeks, resulting in over 26,000 pounds of trash prevented from impacting our ocean!

In addition to the 40+ cleanup sites around Orange County, a culminating event was held at Huntington State Beach to celebrate the protection of our environment. In addition to a massive cleanup with over 275 volunteers, this cornerstone event featured a “Trash Castle,” an art installation made entirely from reclaimed materials collected from local waterways!

About

California Coastal Cleanup Day brings awareness to the state’s marine debris problem and provides a community event for direct involvement. Join the movement for an environment where people and ecosystems can survive and thrive!

This statewide event is organized every September by the California Coastal Commission. We are proud to be the regional coordinator for Orange County! We help manage and assist over 40 inland and coastal cleanups every year.
