Barry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy/Law & Society from the University of California, Riverside, and his Juris Doctor from Chapman University. Barry interned at Coastkeeper during law school and served as the President of both the Environmental Law Society and OUTlaw at Chapman.

Outside of the office, Barry is an avid birdwatcher, car and motorcycle enthusiast, bookworm, and wildlife photographer. He is passionate about environmental ethics and spends much of his free time in nature, galvanizing him to continue fighting for its protection.
