In addition to pushing for positive change in the surf industry, SIMA works to improve the health of our oceans and environment through its Environmental Fund. Since 1989, SIMA has awarded more than $9 million to various environmental groups. Coastkeeper has been a proud recipient of this grant for over twenty years!

With this support, Coastkeeper has been able to advocate for the health of our waters and hold polluters accountable with Clean Water Act enforcement. Beyond monetary contributions, SIMA also creates numerous opportunities for Coastkeeper to connect with surfers worldwide.

Later this year, we will join their SURFscape event in Huntington Beach on April 29 and 30. This two-day event features over 100 surf industry brands demoing and providing hands-on experience with their most innovative products. Alongside these demonstrations will be food, art installations, and an “advocacy oasis” where you can find the Coastkeeper booth.
