Nothing ruins a long walk on the beach quite like a pile of trash. Beach cleanups help keep plastic and other trash out of the ocean and make the beach safe for recreation. Gift drought-tolerant and native plants instead of imported flowers
As we continue to experience drought conditions across California, it is clear we need to rethink our gardening choices. Rather than roses, why not get your special someone a native alternative? Look for locally grown bouquets or living arrangements, both of which last much longer than your average imported rose. They also have a lower carbon footprint because of the shorter distance between production and consumer purchase.
