Our Coastkeeper Garden is full of surprises and treasures everywhere you turn. Did you know that we have our very own geocache?

Geocaching is a global treasure hunt that utilizes Global Positioning System (GPS) and the Internet to find caches in beautiful and unique locations as a recreational experience. In Orange County, there are thousands of geocaches waiting for you to find including a small one hidden in the Coastkeeper Garden.

Geocaching is simple:

  1. Create an account: Create an account online or through the Geocaching® app to view a map of geocaches near you. Find a place you’ve never been to explore new parts of you community.

  2. Find a geocache: Use the app to navigate to a geocache nearby – some are easier to find than others, but that’s part of the fun. Don’t forget to bring a pen.
  3. Share your experience: Once you find the geocache, sign and date the logbook. You can also trade knick-knacks found inside the geocache. Place the geocache back where you found it and log your experience online.
