Courtney earned a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Aurora University, where she gained valuable experience through research and internships, including a marine restoration internship with Orange County Coastkeeper. This opportunity solidified her passion for protecting aquatic ecosystems and helped shape her career path in environmental conservation.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Courtney’s interest in aquatic environments began during her school’s annual marine science week, which introduced her to the diversity of ocean habitats. That early fascination has grown into a lifelong commitment to marine preservation and exploration.

In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time with friends and family, pursuing scuba diving certifications, and discovering new restaurants.
