Kaysha is our Marine Restoration Director and leads our Living Shorelines restoration efforts, including the shell string and Shells for Shorelines programs. She combines research and community outreach to support coastal resilience and habitat restoration.
Kaysha grew up in Southern California, always loving the ocean. She went to California State University, Fullerton, and received her BSc in Biology with a concentration in Marine Biology. She then moved to Australia and received her MSc in Marine Biology from James Cook University. Kaysha loves everything about ocean conservation and has worked in a diverse field of marine science education and outreach, communications, habitat restoration, and scientific diving. In her free time, Kaysha is a SCUBA divemaster, loves doing beach cleanups, and is an avid traveler.
