Coastal erosion is reshaping our shoreline, threatening marine habitats, beachside communities, and even military equipment. But what if oysters could help stop it?

In Huntington Harbour, local boaters are partnering with OC Coastkeeper, CSU Long Beach, and CSU Fullerton to recruit native oysters to stabilize shorelines, restore habitat, and improve water quality.

Through oyster gardening, this community-led effort is bringing back a species that once thrived here and using it as a natural solution to strengthen our shoreline.
