This June, the Coastkeeper family lost one of its greatest champions.
Bob King was more than our longest-serving board member; he was a steady source of wisdom, generosity, and unwavering belief in our mission for more than 25 years. Since joining Coastkeeper’s Board of Directors in 1999, Bob helped guide the organization through decades of growth, lending his expertise in finance while generously sharing his time, mentorship, and friendship.

When Coastkeeper was still a young nonprofit finding its footing, Bob helped build the strong foundation that allows us to protect Orange County’s waterways today. His impact can be found not only in the organization he helped shape, but in every clean beach, healthy watershed, and community we continue to serve.
Bob stepped down from the board last year after 26 years of dedicated service. We are heartbroken by his passing and profoundly grateful for the legacy he leaves behind.
Please join us in remembering Bob and celebrating a life devoted to protecting the places we all love.
