Every summer, OC Coastkeeper’s litigation program welcomes a handful of law school interns to help train the next generation of environmental lawyers. This year, we are excited to welcome Nikki and Elad to our team! Learn more about their journeys below.

About Nikki
Nikki Pezeshkian received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy and Planning, with an emphasis in Environmental Justice, from the University of California, Davis, in 2024. She is currently a rising 2L at Loyola Law School.
She serves on the board of Loyola’s Environmental Law Society and will be Co-Vice President this coming year. Nikki has previously worked in the environmental sector with Caltech Kerchoff and UC Davis Whole Earth to pursue environmental advocacy on a community level.
Nikki is a legal intern at OC Coastkeeper, where she is excited to fight for the health of the water and people of Orange County. In her free time, you can find her at the beach, a concert, an art museum, or lazing in a river.
About Elad
Elad Fishbein earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley in 2023. He is currently attending Loyola Law School and will graduate with a Juris Doctorate in 2027. This past year, Elad was a member of the Environmental Moot Court Team at Loyola, where he competed in the 2026 National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition and won the best oralist of a round. He also serves on Loyola’s Environmental Law Society’s board and is the incoming Co-president.
Elad is currently a legal intern for Orange County Coastkeeper. He is excited to contribute to creating a cleaner environment and sustainable water resources alongside like-minded individuals passionate about environmental protection.
In his free time, Elad likes riding his motorcycle through the canyons, reading fantasy books, playing video games, hiking, and camping.
