Are you a law student looking to use your knowledge and expertise to improve our local environment?

Orange County Coastkeeper offers competitive semester-long legal internships for law students who are interested in gaining “real-world” experience in environmental law.

Meet our fall 2018 legal intern, Paige Cavendish.

Paige began her career in environmental protection by earning a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy, with an emphasis in animal philosophy, at Point Loma Nazarene University.

Upon graduating, she briefly worked at SeaWorld San Diego, educating guests about marine life and conservation. Paige’s love of animals inspired concerns about animal agriculture and aquaculture, which led to broader environmental concerns given the ecological impact of these practices.

Paige is currently studying at University of California, Irvine School of Law as she works with our legal team to protect local water quality.

After law school, Paige plans to advocate for a healthier, happier and more sustainable planet for all living things.
